The business was founded by charismatic sisters, Antonella Dési and Nicolina Meerholz. Exceptionally passionate about what they do, the duo have a perfectly complementary skill-set to provide customised turnkey, through-the-line publicity for their clients.
Dési earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and has over a decade's worth of experience in the publishing arena. She has written proficiently for a number of various business-to-business and consumer magazine and newspaper titles, as well as taking on the role of editor for a couple of magazines, and the position of deputy managing editor for an entire stable of magazines for a well-known local publishing house. She also has vast experience in contract publishing and freelance writing.
Her considerable understanding of the publishing arena has given Antonella the edge with regards to her career in public relations - she has built up an impressive list of industry contacts, as well as having a thorough understanding of how the media operates. Antonella leverages her publishing experience and her natural talent for writing to her clients advantage through the strategic creation of copy and the placement and distribution of feature articles, press releases, image placements, e-newsletters and website content.
Meerholz is an dynamic designer and entrepreneur with over 15 years experience across multiple design fields. She completed her Bachelor of Architecture degree at WITS in the early '90s, and has since practiced and lectured in the architectural design field. In addition, she has been a partner in a number of digital media companies and has been involved in Internet development and design since the mid '90s. She has over the years, established a number of companies in the design and production fields, with her latest interest being The Line.
She started writing for newspapers and magazines a few years ago, where she developed an interest in the publishing industry. After having experienced the publishing media industry from both sides, her entrepreneurial flair made her acutely aware that companies seeking exposure and the media at large were not exploring the potential of their relationship. The Line has been established to provide clients with real media exposure directly to their customer base in a meaningful way.
